After buying my dream apartment at the beach it was with some trepidation that I began the renovating process. Being female and single seems to ensure that trades see you as easy prey for over pricing and poor quality results.

I already had two quotes and then my Dulux Colour Consultant, Elizabeth recommended George at Contemporary Finishes Painting. Although not the cheapest quote (or most expensive), George was by far the most knowledgeable about the paint products and the process; he was prepared to give me a realistic time frame and a written quote and guarantee. He also took the time to get to know my expectations and me. I also appreciated and recognized his Dulux Accreditation.

George and Musy arrived on time and got stuck right in to the preparation. Every surface was covered and every edge was taped off. The job was finished on time, my apartment was left clean and tidy and the final result is spectacular, an amazing transformation. I felt comfortable leaving George and Musy alone in my apartment and really appreciated George’s help with an unexpected delivery.

Recently the team from Contemporary Finishes were engaged to repaint my apartment in Surry Hills completely. The apartment is quite large and completely furnished, so it was not an easy job.

The painters carried out their work in a very professional manner with minimum disruption. The finish on the paintwork is first class and I am extremely happy with the end result. They cleaned up after themselves and moved furniture without a fuss. More particularly, as I lead an extremely active business life the painters had to be able to be flexible with their painting times and this was not a problem at all.

I am more than willing to endorse Contemporary Finishes as a first class professional painting company.

As a final point, I did obtain a large number of quotes before selecting a painter. By comparison, Contemporary Finishes did provide real value for the job considering the on going after services we receive such as follow up calls and newsletters, which we really enjoy.

I take great pleasure in writing a letter of recommendation for Contemporary Finishes. I recently did complete renovations to my 2 bedroom unit in Lane Cove and after various tradesmen not showing up for their appointments to quote I was pleasantly surprised when George not only showed up but was punctual, courteous, efficient and a pleasure to do business with. The job started on the agreed date and was finished on schedule. The work was of excellent quality and the boys were extremely helpful and reliable, to the point that I gave George the keys and went to work while the team completed the painting and even took on the responsibility of showing the plumber and electrician through the premises to complete their jobs. The colour consultant was fantastic; she really helped me coordinate everything and made it easy to select colours. I have no hesitation in recommending Contemporary Finishes for any painting required. They are a very professional company with professional tradesmen.
